Paul Pike is from the Mi'kmaq Nation on the island of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland). Paul has toured and performed professionally for over 30 years and has created a unique flavor of Contemporary Indigenous Music. He was the Main composer for the Canyon Records award winning group Medicine Dream, and has released three recordings worldwide. Paul will share the sounds of his Native American Flute, and guitar. Angela Brown will also be taking the stage sharing songs from her newest recording “Come Back Home”, as well as joining Pike. Opening the night will be a new Indigenous hand drum duo called “Wkamulamun”, The Heart of the Tree, in Mi’kmaq. Michelle Bennett & Samantha Garnier will share a variety of traditionally inspired songs sung in Mi’kmaq, as well as Navajo. Definitely a night to remember!
